Hello my lovelies - Just a quick note to tell you I’m still alive! Sorry I’ve been MIA for the past couple of weeks but work has taken. over. my. life. I haven’t told you much about my work-life on here but the event I’m working on is happening in less than a month and it’s complete madness! I work extra long hours, barely have time to do my nails (and I had to cut them all short because I never have time to fix the broken ones). I’m an exhausted mess! When I get home at night, this is what happens:

Ever since I saw MadelinePoole’s awesome gradients a few weeks ago, those neon beauties have been on my mind. That’s why, when I saw StarlettApproved post about the genius that is Homage Month - I KNEW I had to start with those. I added a little but of these also.

My shot at the ikat design… gotta say I’m pretty happy with those! Thanks to the super simple tutorial by Candice at mrcandiipants that you can find HERE I can’t stop starring at my nails today!

Can you tell I’ve got enough of the dark, wintery polishes? I’m already back to neons! OPI Skull & Glossbones is def in my top 5 polishes of 2011 (I should’ve made an actual list)…. such a perfect neutral that goes with EVERYTHING. And what can I say about 24/7… it’s just the perfect pink neon… super cheap, super opaque and the color is just wow!

As you can probably tell by the lack of post, I’ve been UBER busy lately and had no time for a life… or for my nails (tragedy!). This is a super basic glitter sandwich. I needed some sunlight in my life so I picked the brightest yellow I could find in my stash.

PS.1 This is one of the easiest mani ever. Basically the how-to for this is litterally 1 coat of polish + 1 layer of chunky glitter polish + 1 coat of sheer polish. You could also repeat the last 2 steps a few times for a more layered effect… I was just too lazy :)

Pimped yesterdays mani! Gawd I love this rimmed nail style - or however the name is! I was a bit scared of trying it with polish so I started with rhinestones… was super easy!
